  • Registration Requirement

    Drones over 250g must be registered with the French Civil Aviation Authority (DGAC).

  • Training Requirements

    Online training and exam required for pilots of drones over 250g.

  • Maximum Flight Altitude

    Maximum flying height is 120m above ground level.

  • Visual Line of Sight

    Maintain visual line of sight unless special authorization is obtained.

  • No-Fly Zones

    No flying near airports, military sites, nuclear plants, historical monuments, national parks, or over urban areas without authorization.

  • Night Flying

    Night flying requires special authorization from the DGAC.

  • Identification System

    Electronic identification system required for drones over 800g.

  • Privacy Restrictions

    Respect privacy laws. Filming people without consent is prohibited.
