  • Registration Requirement

    All drone operators must register with Austro Control for drones over 250g.

  • Insurance Requirement

    Liability insurance is mandatory for all drone operations.

  • Maximum Flight Altitude

    Maximum flying height is 120m above ground level.

  • Distance Limitations

    Keep minimum distance of 30m from uninvolved persons and 150m from critical infrastructure.

  • Visual Line of Sight

    Maintain visual line of sight unless special permission is obtained.

  • Licensing Requirements

    EU drone certificate required for drones over 250g. Special permits needed for operations in controlled airspace.

  • Flying in Urban Areas

    Flying in urban areas requires special authorization from Austro Control.

  • No-Fly Zones

    Respect restricted areas around airports, military installations, and national parks.
